FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED for Bayne!!! This absolutely adorable 1.5 yr old boy was surrendered to us when his owner left him behind at a friends house and never came back for him. He was so nervous when his "man" drove away...now poor Bayne finds himself in boarding - how did this happen??? He is used to warm bed and a family who loves him....This super HANDSOME boy is fully vetted and will be neutered next week. He is house trained but will need some leash training. He would do well in an active home and has spent the last few months with a 7 yr old girl who adored him. He wanted desperately to play with the other dogs at the vets office. If you have room in your heart and home for this super sweet boy as either a foster or a forever home, please email email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org.
Update on Bayne!
I spent about an hour with this sweet boy today and I am in love!!! Bayne is amazing! He LOVES to play fetch. He is so funny when he pounces on the ball and proudly bring it back. He knows his basic commands and eagerly sits when told. Bayne has a beautiful red coat with the thick otter tail that us lab lovers adore. I can't believe this boy has not been adopted yet.
Please email me at email@example.com.
FOSTER HOME NEEDED!! This super sweet three year old boy was rescued from a shelter in SC. Charlie had been at the shelter for over six weeks because the staff just couldn't euthanize him because he was just so awesome. We know this rarely happens at any shelter so, when asked to help, we couldn't resist. Here are the shelter notes. On Christmas day one of our employees saw someone push him out of their car near our shelter. He ran behind the car for a few minutes to try to catch back up but they just kept going. Our heart broke for this poor boy. Charlie is an awesome dog! He is dog friendly and people friendly.
I went to visit with Charlie today and he was so excited to see me. He gave me kisses and all he wanted was to get in my lap. He is adorable and a great size.
If you would like to meet Charlie, email firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
Daisy is a wonderful 9 month girl that was surrendered by her owner. She is super smart and loves everyone she meets. Daisy was held over at the shelter for several weeks because the workers adored her. Daisy knows her basic commands and has been working with a trainer. Please give this sweet girl a chance!
Daisy went to a foster home today. She is with two other dogs and is having a blast! I will get an update soon.
Update from Daisy's foster mom!
Daisy is a very sweet girl! She loves being around people and other dogs. She is getting better about the house training. Daisy doesn't like being in the crate when you are at home. I tried the first night and after an hour of crying, I let her sleep with me and the boys. She sleeps with us every night and doesn't have any accidents, and then stays in the crate when I go to work. I feed the dogs in the crate so she is getting better about going in there when she knows she's gonna eat. I bought a prong collar to stop her from dragging me like crazy when she walks and she's doing great on it. She is much better at walking on a leash now, and she's gonna begin puppy training classes at the Petsmart.
Daisy was at our adoption event this weekend and was was absolutely great with all dogs and everyone she met. Daisy is super smart, knows commands, will sit and automatically put her left paw up for a shake. She is adorable!!!!!!
If you would like to meet Daisy, email firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
FOSTER HOME NEEDED!! Dale is a handsome 2 year old boy that was surrendered to a small shelter in rural SC. Dale is super smart! Our trainer has been working with him and his brother Chip. They learned the sit command in just a couple of minutes. Dale is a submissive boy and would love a child to grow up with. I love those gold eyes and shiny coat! With some more training, he will be a wonderful addition to any home.
If you would like to meet Dale, email firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
Meet our PRECIOUS Dixie! These pictures do not do her justice as she had just been spayed but it was the only way to keep her still long enough to get a decent shot! Dixie came from a high kill shelter where she was dumped JUST AFTER having a liter of puppies!!! (Where did the puppies go???) According to our vet, even though she is only about 1.5 yrs old, this had to be her third liter and she is still 10 lbs underweight.... What an awful life this sweet baby must have endured. But amazingly, this wonderful girl is still SWEET, LOVING AND TRUSTING with all people! And did I mention HAPPY? She has such a complete joy for life - even the simple act of rolling in the grass sends her into fits of delirious running : ) Dixie is a chocolate Lab/ Terrier mix that is house and crate trained. She is in a foster home that has frequent visits from small children and good natured-ly accepts their attention and affection. She is still a young dog so she has a lot of energy to work off and she still needs a lot of training on the leash. This is a true gem! To learn more about her please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
UPDATE: Our precious Dixie continues to gain weight and adore belly rubs! She has such a wonderful, affectionate personality. She is currently in a foster home with another dog and they play constantly! She would not do well in a home with small dogs or cats. Given her "low to the ground" stature and bowed legs, we can only guess she is mixed with English bulldog or maybe American Staffordshire Terrier. If you would like to learn more about Dixie, email email@example.com.
FOSTER HOME NEEDED!! Emmy, a gorgeous 4-5 year old girl, was brought to us by a friend that wanted to make sure Emmy had a wonderful life. Emmy has an old injury, her back right leg, that appears to have never had medical care. We desperately need a foster home so we can get her ready for her forever home. I brought her home with me today to temperament test her. Emmy was good with my five dogs. She did snarl at a couple of my male labs when they were "too interested" in her.
The lady that brought Emmy to us had this to say about her.
Emmy is around 4 years young. She is a very happy and active girl in spite of her injured leg. I pulled Emmy from a high kill shelter. She had come into the shelter with the bad leg. It is suspected she was hit by a car. The leg does NOT slow her down. She LOVES to run and play.Emmy does fairly well off leash. She likes to ride. In fact, she will make you think that she can't get into the car on her own....trust me she can. :) She is such a ham and has been a real joy. She prefers male dogs. She had a great hound buddy named Milton that she had great fun with. She does get along with females, but not dominant females. She has an exuberance for life and has been a real joy.
If you would like to meet Emmy, email firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
This sweet girl was pulled from a high kill shelter. The shelter workers loved her. Haley is 2 years old and weighs 45 lbs. She went to a temporary foster home where the foster mom only has wonderful things to say about Haley. This is a note from the foster mom.
Haley is so well behaved. She barks at the door when she needs to go out and walks so well on the leash. Really a great pup!! Haley is just darling. She is so sweet and gentle such a wonderful girl. I would be happy to talk to anyone interested in her. They will be getting a 5 star girl. Haley is great with cats and dogs!
Another note from the foster mom!
Haley loves to play with other dogs. She is so sweet and well behaved. She appears to be house trained and will go to the door and whine when she needs to go out. She met my neighbors 14month old son the other day and loved him. She wanted to give him so many kisses. She is a great dog. You would be getting an awesome family member with Haley. :)
If you would like to meet Haley, email firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
This is Hank! He is a handsome 11-12 month old super sweet boy. A volunteer saved him from a gassing shelter. After meeting Hank, she could not leave him there to die. He has been in a temporary foster home where he was with other dogs, kids, and loved everyone.
This is a note from Hank's foster family.
Hank joined the dog pack with no problem! Napped in the sun, played chase and enjoyed being outside with the other dogs. Gobbled down lunch, takes treats gently. No problem acclimating in the house. Taking a nap under the dining room table while I cook dinner. Most of the time will come when called and sit. Has a gentle disposition. More to come.
Here is an update on Hank. He is very laid back and happy to sit at my feet most of the time. Gets along well with our dogs and now becoming more interactive. Will play chase and tug of war but prefers to lay on the deck or be inside with me. Appetite is fair. Makes funny groaning noises while sleeping or yawning! housebroken,
although will pee a slight bit when excited and that seems to be decreasing. Very affectionate wanting to be near me at all times.Hank prefers to be indoors. Is settling in and starting to see more of his personality shining through! Easy dog to foster.
Hank is eating better. He is evolving into a dog that would be well suited for someone who wants a less active, mainly indoor dog. We do not crate him and can leave alone at home, he loves
his dog bed! He gets along with other dogs and will play for a bit then prefers to take a nap. Will be fine as only dog. He needs work on
the leash. He is very affectionate.
If you would like to meet Hank, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Meet HOLDEN! This precious 2 yr old boy was SCARED to death when we picked him up from the shelter. How had he ended in up in such a scary and horrible place? But just a week later, he is gaining confidence and showing us his WONDERFUL personality! He is in a foster home with three other active 2 yr old Labs and they love to play in the backyard. His foster mom reports he is fully house trained, crate trained, is learning his commands and loves a good cuddle : ) You should've seen him playing in the snow for the first time in his life - What a delight! Holden will make an amazing companion for anyone. He is still a little shy in new situations but quickly overcomes it with encouragement and, like most Labs, some good old treats! To learn more about Holden, email email@example.com.
Jack, approximately 4 months old, was surrendered to us. He is super handsome, house trained on a doggy door, and loves everyone he meets. Jack is in a foster home with other dogs and the foster mom can't say enough wonderful things about him.
I will get an update soon.
If you would like to meet Jack, email firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
Louise is a super sweet 2 year old girl that was abandoned at a shelter in rural TN. Louise is the sweetest girl just look at that face. She is so appreciative and eager to love. If you would like tom meet Louise, email firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
FOSTER HOME NEEDED!!!
I can't believe this boy is still in boarding. Luke is awesome!! PLEASE someone please foster or adopt this sweet dog. I have spent much time with him in the last week. He now gets so excited to see me coming. Luke is an energetic boy that LOVES his ball and toys. But, what he wants more than anything is human love.
This sweet one year old boy had a hard start in life but you would never know it by watching his actions with everyone he meets. Luke was dumped at a local gassing shelter. It makes me so sad to see "unwanted" as the reason for surrender. Luke loves everyone and is so eager to please. I picked him up today and he greeted me with a big kiss. He was in a temporary foster home with other dogs and loved it. He likes to ride in the car, needs leash training, not sure about crate or house training, and knows "sit". Luke loves kids!
If you would like to meet Luke, email firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
Meet Max! This super sweet 10 year old boy was surrendered to us by his owner. Max is awesome! He is in a foster home with a cat and is doing great. Max is just an awesome boy that loves everyone he meets, two and four legged. Max doesn't need to be crated, loves to go for a walk, loves the ball, and is great in the car. He is just about perfect for any family!!
Max is neutered, current on vaccines, and will be microchipped prior to adoption.
If you would like to meet Max, email firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
Pepper is a very sweet, laid-back, cuddly, and happy girl. Our vet estimates she is 4-5 years old. She loves everyone she meets (animals and people alike)! Pepper has been to the dog park several times and enjoyed socializing with all of the dogs and people. She currently lives with 3 college aged girls and two other dogs (one male and one female). Constantly wagging her tail, Pepper makes her own "beat" around the household. Pepper is house-trained and sleeps through the night on her dog bed. Pepper would do best in a home with another dog. Pepper is a very sweet girl and just wants to be with her loving animal friends (dogs and people alike)! She does not care when you pull on her ears, squeeze her paws, and lay over top of her which leads me to believe she would great in a household with children. She deserves a great home for her gentle, sweet, loving sole!!!
If you would like to meet Pepper, email firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
This is Polly!! This 8 year old sweet girl was left at a high kill shelter by her owners. She was so sad. She went to a foster home where she is staring to feel better. The foster mom said Polly slept all night, not a peep out of her. She seems to want permission to do things (eat, go into a room or go outside) She will just wait til you tell her its ok. She won't go outside without me going with her and if she doesn't see me she comes running back. Poor girl... She has been a perfect overnight guest and we look forward to getting her back to her happy self :)
Another update from the foster mom.
Polly is a sweet and lovable lab that wants nothing more than to be with her family. She has gone from a scared little girl to a happy, friendly and playful girl in just one week. She loves her doggy playmates and would do well in a home with another dog to romp around with. She is a quiet girl and only barks when somebody comes to the house or fence. She hasn't figured out dog beds yet but will sleep on a comforter in her foster mom's bedroom with the rest of the dogs.. She sleeps all night and will go out to potty and comes right back in. She is starting to play with toys and will entertain herself by throwing the toy around and catching it herself. She loves her dog housemates and likes to clean their faces (whether they like it or not). She has a very good appetite and loves her milkbone treats. She loves to be petted and loved on and I think she would do well with a family with older kids to spoil her...
Polly is in a home with other dogs and gets along great with everyone.
If you would like top meet Polly, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
Reba was saved after being dumped by her owners from being gassed. The shelter held her over for several weeks because of her sweet personality. We were begged to take her and, once we met her, we knew she was a gem! Reba is super sweet, in a foster home with other dogs, is crate trained, knows basic commands, loves to go for a ride, and almost house trained. The vet thinks she is about a year old. I will get another update soon.
Reba is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you would like to meet Reba, email firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
NAME: Sadie Socks
Sadie Socks is a beautiful 2 year old girl that is in a foster home with another dog that she adores, and a young child. Sadie Socks is house trained, crate trained, loves to run and play in the back yard, and greets people by rolling over to get a belly rub. I can't believe this sweet girl still doesn't have a forever home. I am waiting for more information from the foster mom.
If you would like to meet Sadie Socks, email firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
Yogi is a sweet male 17 wk old black lab mix puppy. He loves to play with other dogs and meet new people and has been socialized with other dogs through playtime sessions and doggie daycare. He is current on all his vaccinations and has been on Trifexis, a heartworm preventative, intestinal parasite and flea control medication for the last 3 months. Yogi loves to be outside and would do well with a fenced in backyard and/or active family. He is doing great on housebreaking and will go to the door when he needs to potty, although he still gets a little confused in our carpeted upstairs area. He is crated when left alone although he has never been crated for longer than 2 to 3 hrs at a time. He knows basic commands such as sit, down, and we are working on come. He is a very intelligent boy but can still be puppy stubborn. He has been raised in a home with a 5 yr old boy that he considers a playmate so he tends to get a bit rowdy and jump and nip on him still, he has never been overly aggressive though. Yogi likes nothing better than to lay in your lap when he is not playing fetch or going for a walk.
If you are interested in meeting Yogi, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
FOSTER HOME NEEDED!! Meet Zelda! Here is Zelda's story. It was a normal day at the shelter when a tractor trailer pulled up out front and a nice gentleman came inside. We were all thinking he was lost but he was there to surrender Zelda. He had found her in early January and had been trying to find her family. The gentleman was going back on the road and had no choice but turn her into the shelter. We went out with him to the truck with a leash in hand but we were quickly told Zelda didn't need a leash. The man said she will walk right beside me. He went on to tell how obedient and loving she was. Poor girl walked right into the shelter not knowing her potential faith.....
Zelda LOVES other dogs and everyone she meets. She is house trained and was in a temporary foster home where the foster mom said she was super loving and an easy foster.
If you would like to meet Zelda, email email@example.com.
