FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED: We’re looking for a foster or adopter for GORGEOUS, SWEET, 3-year-old Max! Max came to us with his brother, Luca. We initially thought they’d be better off adopted together, but now we know that as long as they have another dog to play with, they do great apart. So, Max is now searching for a LOVING home with a playmate and a family to love [💕] Max is crate trained and seems to be house trained too. He’s all Lab, obsessed with the tennis ball and his LOVE of water. After a good game of fetch, he’ll collapse to the ground and happily chew a bone or his ball. He’s SMART, food motivated, and eager to learn. He’s great with other dogs! We haven’t seen him with cats.
Max is a big guy, weighing 85 lbs, who needs to learn better leash manners. He needs basic training of all kinds, but once he has the skills, this big, lovable guy is going to make an amazing family member! He’s appropriate for children 12 and over. A fenced yard is a MUST for him.

Duke 9 Mths
FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED! Remember Duke, our sweet 9 month old Lab who had kennel cough right before Easter? This precious boy is ALL BETTER and ready for his forever home! This guy is SUPER friendly with people and other dogs. He’s been having a great time at his temp foster home- he loves to ride whether it’s a car or a four wheeler, he is up for the adventure. Duke is beginning to explore the water and realizing that it’s one of the things labs do best! He is basically all lab puppy- energetic, wants to be around his people, and will get into things if he is left alone.
Duke is doing very well on his house training and his crate training. He can be a little mouthy when excited but is very smart and easily redirected. His Fosters feel that a fenced yard is a must for him as he will go exploring if not confined.
If you are looking for a new best friend, this just might be your guy. Duke is 69 pounds currently and appropriate for children nine and up..

Meet Rosie, a beautiful three-year-old girl who was recently surrendered to us. She has a very sweet, happy personality and gets along well with other dogs, including the resident dog in her foster home. She is a big girl weighing in at 80 lbs.
Her foster recently shared the following update:
Rosie is a sweetheart! At home, she loves to wrestle with her foster brother and snuggle with her foster people. When we’re out and about, she’s a social butterfly. She loves all people and all dogs - especially at the dog park. She truly believes everyone should be her friend. Rosie is very clever. She learns a lot from her foster brother (the good and the bad) like “bring it” and stealing dirty socks from the laundry 🤣. When we initially took her swimming, she was timid and did not swim. She slowly decided to be brave and little by little followed her foster brother further and further into the water. Now, she swims without hesitation. She’s only three, so she needs daily walks/activity. I’m pretty sure she never had peanut butter before she came to stay with us. Now, she loves a Kong filled with peanut butter and she sits nicely for treats. She’s fully potty and crate trained. She’s pretty good on leash, and has great recall off leash. We’re working on her manners greeting new people because she gets too excited and wants to jump on them. In typical foster fashion, it took her some time to adjust to her new environment. Once she did, and she relaxed, she really came out of her shell which included starting to use her nose. She has an incredible sense of smell! She has been a great house guest, and will be a good addition to a family

Benji ~ 7 Months
ADOPTER NEEDED!! Meet Benji [🐾]
Benji is a 7-month-old chocolate lab mix with the sweetest personality and the calmest demeanor you could hope for in a puppy. He may be very shy at first, but once he warms up, his gentle and affectionate nature really shines through.
He’s currently thriving in a foster home with two other dogs and absolutely loves having playmates. Whether he’s enjoying a little playtime or settling in for one of his favorite naps, Benji brings a peaceful, easygoing energy to the home.
Benji is already off to a great start with training. He sleeps well in his crate at night and is quickly learning the ropes during the day. He’s also doing an excellent job with potty training—when taken outside, he immediately knows what to do. This sweet boy is looking for a loving home where he can continue to build confidence, feel safe, and be part of a family. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a calm spirit and a heart of gold, Benji might be the perfect fit.

Luna 2 Yrs
LUNA IS BACK and ready for her new LOVING forever home! SWEET, GORGEOUS Luna came to us with some heavy baggage. She had never been around other dogs and she had a really hard time settling in the house. But we saw what an AMAZING girl she was waiting to become. She spent some time with one of our very special POSITIVE reinforcement trainers and like a butterfly, Luna has emerged as her very best self! Luna LOVES being with other dogs and has found her inner calm. She is SUPER FRIENDLY with all humans and she’s house and crate trained. This big girl is awesome at fetch and enjoys her hard bones. There is just such a light in this wonderful girl- everyone who meets her adores her! She would love to have a family who has time to spend with her!! Luna does still need some work on her leash skills. She is appropriate for children 10 and up. She MUST have a fenced yard and her adoptive family will be asked to do a few simple exercises with her to help her keep her calm demeanor. They will also have access to the trainer. We have not seen her with cats.

Quincey needs a quiet household with few people coming and going. He's very protective of his person or people and wary of strangers. If a stranger enters the house, he will need to be crated. He would be a wonderful dog for an single woman. He LOVES women; He will warm up to men, but he adores woman.
Looking for an experienced, responsible owner. This boy would do best with a confident, responsible owner who understands protective dogs. He is naturally watchful and will alert you if someone comes onto or into your property. He is very loving and affectionate with his owners, bonding closely to his people. However, he is not a fan of guests and should be crated when visitors are present to keep everyone comfortable and safe.
He can be possessive over food and bones, so management is important. He does very well when fed or given high-value items in his kennel, which he is comfortable using.
No young children (due to food and treat possessiveness, not aggression toward kids).
Quincey is house trained, crate trained, okay with other dogs, and
will thrive in a structured home with clear boundaries, routine, and someone who respects his needs. In the right home, he is an incredibly loyal and loving companion.

Fynlee 4 Years
Fynlee update! Our GORGEOUS girl is doing GREAT! After her visit with our dermatology vet we determined her eye issue was actually an allergy and she is on the correct medication for that. She will continue with this affordable daily pill to keep her eyes clear and beautiful [😍]
Fynlee ADORES her people and just wants to be close to them (couch cuddles are her favorite!). She’s doing great on her leash training, she is fully house trained and crate trained and this SWEET girl LOVES to ride in the car. Fynlee would be perfectly happy as an only dog! She can take a while to warm up to other dogs but she does like to engage in play after she has had a slow introduction.
Her foster has this to say “ Finley has been with us for the last three weeks, and she’s really taken to our home! She’s a sweetheart and loves being close to her humans, often snuggling up on the sofa with them. Finley has that classic loving lab personality, but I think she’d be happiest as an only dog She’s shown a bit of jealousy towards my lab, Winston. Finley walks nicely on a leash, but she does pull and could use some training. She’ll also need a home with a fenced yard since she’s not great at coming when called. I’ve trained labs for Therapy Dog International and fostered for Lucky Labs, so Finley would be a wonderful addition to any family and is super trainable!

This beautiful one year old fifty pound girl is once again looking for her forever family for no fault
of her own. The family wasn't able to give Amber the life she deserves; She spent at least 10 hours a day
in the crate. So, no surprise, Amber is crate trained, house trained and is
good with other dogs outside the house. She has trouble with other dogs in confined environments
due to her herding breed mix but no issues
with people in the home. Amber loves to play fetch and a little shy when meeting people,
but once she knows she can trust you, she is your best friend. Amber would do best with

Santa ~ 8 Mths
Santa is a wonderful 8-month-old puppy who was rescued from a local shelter before Christmas. Santa came to us with a broken right fibula, and after a consultation with an orthopedic surgeon, it was determined that the fracture was healing naturally and didn't recommend surgery.
For the past two months, Santa has been in a foster home focusing on his recovery. While he occasionally gets the "zoomies," he is generally doing his best to stay calm. Santa is an incredibly social dog who considers everyone he meets—human or canine—a best friend. He loves playing ball, tug-of-war and is a true "velcro dog" who enjoys snuggling on your lap. Santa is crate trained and has learned to ring a bell when he needs to go outside. He is highly treat-motivated, which has helped with his training; he already knows "sit" and "shake," and is currently working on his leash skills. He also travels well in a car and especially enjoys trips for a "pup cup."
As a young dog, Santa has a lot of energy and will require an owner who can provide several walks AND playtime. He would thrive in a home where he is not crated all day and would do well with another canine companion because he loves the resident dog. If you are looking for a fast learner with a big personality and a nightly routine of being tucked in for bed, Santa might be the perfect fit!

Penelope 2 ~ Years
FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED! Meet SWEET, SWEET Penelope [🥰] . This 2 yr old girl was surrendered to a small rural shelter with multiple other dogs. She is such a PRECIOUS pup with so much to offer her new family- she is GREAT with both humans and other dogs, she knows a few commands and she LOVES playing fetch! This girl has some energy and would definitely love a fenced back yard. Penelope came into the rescue with a nasty ear infection that we are currently treating. She also needs to be spayed which can’t happen until we have her in a home. She hopped right in the crate, she is SMART and easily trained. We do not know if she is house trained or how she is with cats. She is 50 lbs and will need to gain a little weight.

FOSTER HOME NEEDED
Luke DOB 4/1/2020
FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED!! Meet AWESOME Luke, a wonderful 6-year-old boy who’s eager to leave boarding and find a loving home! Luke is a sweet 60-pound TYPICAL LABRADOR. He’s house-trained and crate-trained (though we’re told he doesn’t need to be crated when left alone), and he knows several commands, including sitting up on his hind legs! SO CUTE! He rides well in the car and loads up like a pro! He loves a good game of fetch, and we’re told he enjoys swimming too. We’re also told he gets along well with other dogs, but he’s also happy being an only dog.
Luke arrived with some pretty bad allergies (it seems to be environmental, possibly grass), which has caused some hair loss, and he needs to be neutered. We’re treating him for the hair and skin issues (he’s looking so much better!), and we’re hoping to have him neutered as soon as possible, but we need a home for him to recover in. Please help us find this terrific guy a new home!
Luke is appropriate for kids 7 and older. We have not seen him with cats.

Weller ~ 5 Yrs
HANDSOME Weller is back on the market and looking for his perfect home. We have learned a little more about him and this former country dog MUST have a fenced yard! If ball is life then a ball in the water is heaven. If a ball isn't involved then he would like to be resting on your lap or your chest and your feet. He is, also, a good brewery dog and trips to Home Depot are pretty cool. He is fine being an only dog or would enjoy another active dog for a playmate now that he has learned how to be a play. He’s not going to be your security guard though, as he greets every stranger with a big tail wag and zero barking. He is such a good boy!
Hi, I am Weller and I am a very handsome 65 lb, 5 year old boy. I busted out of the shelter a few days ago with the help of my foster mom and am decompressing well. Some bipeds figured out that I was used as a stud dog (because, after all, I am handsome) and then was just left at my house, abandoned, when they moved. I love, love, love people. I am housebroken and can be trusted in the house incurred for a few hours as long as you don’t mind me relocating some articles of clothing and dish towels. I don’t damage them, I just think they look better on the floor. Tennis balls and swimming are life! Fetch is my FAVORITE! I mostly ignore my foster siblings although I will play with the big black furry one now that I’ve figured out he won’t hurt me. I am happy to cuddle with you on the couch but will go and lie in my safe spot when told. I know basic commands, understand “no” and that weird noise my foster mom makes when she wants me to stop doing something. Walking on a leash is not my strong suit but with an easy-walker I do well. I am a quick study and believe in myself. I will get the hang of it. I enjoy car rides and load right in.

Charlie (7 Years)
ADOPTER NEEDED!! This handsome seven year old boy was dumped at the shelter after being found as a stray. Charlie clearly is looking for his family. He is a very sweet and loving boy who greets everyone with a tail wag.
The shelter placed Charlie in a foster home where he lived with several other dogs and did not need to be crated. He is house trained, he knows several commands. and is pretty good on a leash.
He weighs in at 60lbs, great size.
FOSTER UPDATE!! Charlie (FKA Ruffles) is an older perfect gentleman who enjoys long and peaceful naps. He loves to curl up in the bed with you, by your side or in a chair on anything soft. He is very observant and loves to watch out the window from the couch. He is hard of hearing and prefers to be where you are most of the time. He'll get the occasional playful side and likes to tap at your feet or hands. He knows paw and sit and will wait patiently to eat or be leashed. He loves to follow a good scent. He does not prefer dogs or people in his face(especially bugs) or pressing near his hips. Due to his hearing he can be startled easily. He is house trained, cannot be crated(he does not like it and will get out) nor does he need to be and doesn't bother trash. He loves his people and being around them. [Emoji]
